With the long weekends and warmer weather on the way, it's the season of quick trips. Whether you're headed away for a three-day weekend or taking a few days off work for a road trip, our go to packing tips will help you feel right at home wherever you are.
Skincare
The day or night before you leave, line up your skincare routine after you apply it. From there, you can transfer it into little vials for on-the-go ease or just pack it up depending on your mode of travel. If you’re flying, make sure the containers you pick up are TSA approved sizes - there’s nothing worse than getting through security and having to throw away your favorite product because it’s non compliant. Pack your products in a separate skincare bag so they’re easy to grab at the end of a long day. We recommend a gentle cleanser, followed by eye cream, a serum, and light moisturizer to seal it in. This routine will have you feeling fresh even after that extra glass of wine at the BBQ. For more details on the perfect skincare routine, check out this post.
Makeup
When traveling, we like to consolidate. Whether it's using a lipstick as a blush or facial oil as a highlighter, we love products that can double. When running through your daily look, figure out what products you need and what products are just extra. By packing a minimal makeup bag you'll save yourself time and clutter down the line when you're late for that party and your makeup is all over the bathroom sink. Our minimal makeup lineup consists of a neutral eyeshadow palette, a cream blush that can double as a lip tint (or vice versa), chapstick, eyebrow product (whatever works for you), mascara, eyeliner, and bronzer. In addition to whatever brushes you use, don't forget your eyelash curler, some form of makeup remover and an eyebrow brush.

Clothes
For a three-day weekend, you don't want to be hauling around a ton of clothing so it's best to plan your outfits ahead of time. If you don't have time for that, go for basic favorites that will pair well. For example, a couple of neutral colored cotton T’s, a pair of light wash and a pair of dark wash jeans (different cuts), a dress, a pair of sneakers, a pair of nicer shoes/sandals and underwear. Then grab a few statement pieces that you can mix and match in to style the outfits like a clutch, a light jacket, and/or accessories. Don’t forget your phone charger, some headphones and a good book, or a light magazine! Here’s some outfit inspo for your days away.
