Our Philosophy
We are in awe of Mother Nature, and through our products, we celebrate all that she offers us. It is our firm belief that the finest botanical ingredients can meet all our skin care needs. Nature did not intend for our skin to be slathered with chemicals and toxins. Cultural beauty knowledge from all over the world reflects this understanding because not one of them calls for sulfates or silicones. Keeping this in mind, all our products are formulated with only plant-based ingredients, and we do not use sulfates, phthalates, synthetic dyes, fragrances, parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, petrochemical substances, silicones, PEG, TEA, DEA and propylene glycol in our products.

We combine our knowledge of beauty rituals and secrets from all over the world with sustainably sourced natural ingredients, then blend them in unique ways to create our products. Every single ingredient has a skin-centric purpose and actively works to make your skin balanced and healthy.
Giving
The essence of Poéthique lies in harnessing the power of nature, as countless generations of women across diverse cultures, have done before us. In working so closely with nature, we have been filled with awe at what the Earth has to offer us. In diving deep into local cultures, we have been moved by the extraordinary resilience of the people that are keepers of cultural knowledge of natural ingredients.
To honor and protect our extraordinary planet, we have made it a key guiding principle to drive positive environmental change through every aspect of our products. Our ingredients are sustainably sourced, our packaging is fully recyclable and for every unit of our inaugural line of products that we sell, we donate 1% of sales to 1% for the Planet.

In addition, to express our gratitude for the local keepers of cultural beauty knowledge, we support organizations dedicated to sustainable sourcing and to fair trade practices.
Finally, our gifting bags are sourced from Nyrvaana, a charity focused on repurposing clothing stocks destined for landfills, and employing local craftswomen in search of a path to economic independence.

All-Natural Skincare Product Process
Once we’ve identified the best organic ingredients we start playing! We create different prototypes of each product to determine:
Performance: Does it make a noticeable difference to your skin?Stability and Safety: Will the product maintain integrity though a variety of everyday situations? Will its preservatives keep the product free of microbial contaminants?User Experience: Most importantly, is it incredibly enjoyable to your skin?
Based on trial testing, we select the final formulation. We never take any shortcuts that could compromise the process of delivering effective, safe, and delightful products to you.
